Woman’s body found in dam near Glencoe
The woman was found face down in the dam known colloquially as the Police Dam situated on the Glencoe by pass road.

The body of a woman was discovered on Saturday in the so-called Police Dam (real name Preston Pan) near Glencoe. The woman, who was found by fishermen, was reportedly wearing only a pair of panties and an orange floar shirt. It is believed she had been in the water for over a day, as decomposition had already begun to set in.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. At this stage, the cause of death has not yet been determined.
SAPS spokesperson, Constable Siyabonga Nkwanyana, confirmed the discovery and stated that further details would be provided as the investigation progresses. The police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with their inquiries.
