Sentraal in rampant form against Vryheid

The Glencoe-based team have been in top form since the start of the season and will be hoping to keep in that way when they come up against the Highlanders on Friday evening.

Sentraal were in a rampant mood when they demolished the visiting Vryheid rugby team at Glencoe Sports Stadium on a warm Saturday afternoon.
The hosts racked up 11 tries as they romped home 71-17 after leading 24-0 at half-time.
Captain Xander Kriel was in fine form, scoring a hat-trick of tries, while VK Buthelezi, JP Roets and A Hlongwane all dotted down twice.
The other try-scorers were K Hlongwane, who also slotted two conversions, and Ruan Nel.

Sentraal are currently in devastating form, having won both their opening games of the season.

On Friday night, Sentraal’s second and first teams will be in action against the Highlanders second and first XV, which are friendlies, before travelling up north to play Secunda on Saturday, April 5, with the reverse fixture in Glencoe a week later.
This is followed by the Easter break, before they clash with defending champions Piet Retief in an away game.
