Protest action blocks entrance to Durnacol

Residents were out before sunrise to voice their anger by setting tyres on fire, bringing traffic to a halt.

Protest action is taking place this morning blocking the entrance to Durnacol at the turnoff to the road linking Dannhauser to the N11.

Protesters have taken to the streets, preventing traffic from entering or leaving. Initial reports suggest the protest may have been sparked by anger over the alleged theft of money from a community organization, though this has yet to be confirmed.
