Dundee court sentences man to 15 years for Craigside murder

Dundee court sentences 22-year-old man to 15 years in prison for stabbing murder committed in Craigside.

The Dundee Regional Court has sentenced 22-year-old Sibusiso Ntombela to 15 years’ direct imprisonment for a murder committed in Craigside in February 2024.

Investigations revealed that Ntombela fatally stabbed Andile Nsele in the neck following a quarrel. Nsele later died in hospital from his injuries.

Detective Anton Nkabini of Dundee Detectives led the investigation, ensuring all evidence was swiftly gathered and presented in court. Ntombela was arrested soon after the incident and, on  September 10, found guilty and sentenced.

“The South African Police Service in Umzinyathi District welcomed the conviction, noting it reflects detectives’ commitment to securing justice for victims of violent crime,” said spokesperson Cst Siyabonga Nkwanyana.
