Sentraal crush Jaguars in 105-point rugby rout
Sentraal ran riot in Glencoe as Khaya Hlongwane scored four tries in a 105-12 victory.
Sentraal produced a dominant attacking display to thrash the Ladysmith Black Jaguars 105-12 in a one-sided Friday night rugby encounter in Glencoe.
The home side crossed the try line at will, with Khaya Hlongwane leading the charge after scoring four tries in an outstanding performance.
Sentraal’s powerful backline and relentless pressure proved too much for the Jaguars, who struggled to contain the wave of attacks throughout the match.
Tries were scored by B Biyela, Khaya Hlongwane (4), X Kriel, S Mofokeng (2), S Xaba, VK Buthelezi and M Groenewald.
Buthelezi was deadly accurate with the boot, slotting nine conversions to cap an impressive all-round display.
Despite the Jaguars managing two tries of their own, Sentraal remained firmly in control from start to finish, running in points at regular intervals to complete a comprehensive victory.
This was a good bounce-back from Sentraal, who went down the previous week, away, to Volksrust.
