Dundee estate agency earns national honours and invests in young talent
Dundee estate agency earns national awards while helping young professionals build careers in the property sector.
Dundee estate agency Dormehl Phalane has earned national recognition while continuing to invest in the next generation of property professionals.
Awards place Dundee branch among top performers
Led by Dawi Viljoen, the local franchise secured three awards at the company’s national awards ceremony in Pretoria. The agency placed 10th in the Letting Agent of the Year category, 11th in Agent of the Year and ninth in Rental Management Agent of the Year.
The achievement is notable as the Dundee office competed against branches based in some of South Africa’s largest metropolitan areas.
Viljoen, who entered the property industry in 2008, credited the local community for its continued support.
He also highlighted the importance of developing young talent and has taken on three interns to help grow the business.
“I am very happy to give these young people an opportunity and proud that they are repaying the faith I have placed in them,” he said.
Building the future of the property industry
Among the interns is Siyambonga Khumalo (21) from Glencoe, who said joining the property sector had long been a personal goal.
Dundee resident Nivania Shrikrishan (28) is gaining practical experience while completing her property qualification and pursuing a degree.
Sine Gwebu, also from Dundee, is completing her real estate qualification under Viljoen’s mentorship. She said helping people find the right home and achieve their property goals is what drives her passion for the industry.
