Men caught stealing on camera

The stolen items are valued at about R10,000

A video of a robbery at a shop in the Ladysmith CBD has been doing the rounds on social media since yesterday (April 17), when the incident occurred.

In the video, a group of men are seen entering a shop and stealing items in broad daylight.

SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan confirmed the incident, saying, “A case of theft has been opened after an incident took place in Queen Street early yesterday morning.

“Eight men entered a shop just as the premises had opened.

“They grabbed speakers, a heater and an electric stove, before running out of the promises.

No one has been arrested as yet.”
