Police need help identifying decomposed body

Detectives are appealing to the community to come forward with any information they may have

Estcourt detectives need help identifying a deceased person and locating relatives.

This after a badly decomposed body was found in February. Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan explained that, ‘’During February this year, the badly decomposed body of a female was discovered in the Estcourt area. The deceased was beyond recognition and there is nothing that can be used to identify her, besides a pink wristwatch.”

Khan said that, to date, no one has come forward to report a missing person from the surrounding areas.

Anyone with information about the next-of-kin of the deceased is requested to make contact with the investigating officer, Sergeant Ntuli, on 0823467155 or 0363429525. The 10111 toll-free number can also be used, as well as Crime Stop on 0860010111.
