Lindokuhle Kantwela still missing four months later

The Newcastle CPF is calling on the community to help locate missing Lindokuhle Kantwela. Read more here:

Nearly four months after his disappearance, the Newcastle Community Policing Forum (CPF) is still seeking answers regarding the whereabouts of 24-year-old Lindokuhle Kantwela.

Suspicious Circumstances

Kantwela was last seen on September 18, 2025, in Madadeni’s Section 5. At the time, he was wearing light blue jeans torn at the knees and a blue jersey.

Belinda Ellor of the Newcastle CPF said witnesses reported seeing Lindokuhle being forced into a white Volkswagen Polo with the registration number CR27ZH ZN.

“The driver of the vehicle has since been detained; however, Lindokuhle’s whereabouts remain unknown,” Ellor said.

The CPF and police have renewed their appeal to the public for assistance, urging anyone with information that could help locate Lindokuhle to come forward as a matter of urgency.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Newcastle SAPS: 079 500 1119 or Belinda Ellor: 071 404 3575.
