Stepping it up to win the prizes
There was a public evening and a gala evening on the two nights.
Stepping Out Dundee hosted their annual showcase events on October 21 and 22 at Glencoe Primary School to mark their 10th anniversary.
There was a public evening and a gala evening on the two nights. “The support of the community was overwhelming. We hosted over 420 people on both nights and are extremely thankful for the support of the community,” said Marina de Beer of Stepping Out.
The gala evening also featured the prize-giving:
Winners: Petite – Makayla Mentz; Twinkle Toes – Eune and Mia; Most Dedicated Tiny Tots – Aliyana; Tiny Tots Improvement – shared between Taylor Hilliar and Olivia Greenhough; Best Pre-Primary Improvement – Tayla Talanda; Most Spirited – Emily; Most Promising – Danelle and Mandie; Most Dedicated – Skylar; Best Tumbler – Zotando and Liani; Best Technique – shared between Nikki and Jiya; Most Potential: Junior – Mikayla Chamberlain; Best Progress: Junior – Zane and Chelsea; Born to be on Stage – Ellah; Star of the Year – Ziyane and Samone, Star of the Year: Senior – Nikki.
Overall winners for 2022: Junior of the Year – Shamarie Snyman and Liani Cilliers; Senior of the Year – Jiya Sivnarain.
This year, it was decided to add another trophy, the Mental Growth Trophy, that went to: Hayley Wentzel and Lianne Burger.
