Give measles the final push
The immunisation drive will be held until March 31 at a health facility near you
To combat the spread of measles, the Health Department is embarking on a national measles vaccination campaign. Measles is a highly contagious disease that is caused by a virus, and any person who is not immune can catch it from an infected person.
The good news is that once a person has had measles once, they are immune to the virus.
The campaign that is being run by the Health Department will take place at health institutions in your area from February 6 to March 31. All children between the ages of six months to 15 years old should be immunised.
All locals are encouraged to take advantage of this vaccination campaign and be part of the drive to ‘give measles the final push’.
