Kittens left traumatised after being tied to moving train from Isipingo

“The poor kittens were wet, cold and extremely terrified after this ordeal!” said an enraged Gero.

Two kittens survived a harrowing journey from Isipingo to Newcastle after they had been stuffed in a pillow which had been tied with a shoe lace and fastened to the outside of a train.

The kittens were found tied up inside a pillow case to the back of a train travelling from Isipingo to Newcastle Train Station.

Heather Gero, manager of the Newcastle SPCA, was alerted to the kittens’ plight last week Monday and immediately went out to the Newcastle train station in the early hours of the morning.

The train had stopped in Newcastle on its way from Isipingo.

“The poor kittens were wet, cold and extremely terrified after this ordeal!” said an enraged Gero.

The kittens were taken back to the SPCA and Gero said she was pleased to announce that the pair was doing much better now and ready to find their forever families.

“They are now happy, warm and safe at the SPCA waiting to be adopted!”

Should there be anyone with any information related to this incident please report it to the SPCA – all complaints details are kept strictly confidential!
