Update: The road is now open.

The N11 is closed this morning (February 12) due to protest action at the Sunset Rest weigh-bridge between Newcastle and Ladysmith. 

Vehicles travelling in this direction are being diverted onto the R602.

Motorists are advised to delay their travels until the road is open again.

Public Order Policing (POP) officers are currently on scene and monitoring the situation.
