Humanitarian aid provided to flood victims

Councillors were present for the handover of food parcels

Alfred Duma Local Municipality, together with other stakeholders, provided humanitarian relief in Ward 14 yesterday (February 22). The other stakeholders were the Old Mutual Foundation, Red Cross Society and Brand South Africa.

This initiative served to help families from Ward 10, 14, 15, 23, 24 and 27 that were affected by the floods experienced over the festive season.

All the councillors from the relevant wards were present as food parcels were distributed to the grateful recipients.

Alfred Duma Mayor Zama Sibisi was also there. He thanked everyone involved in assisting the people whose homes were damaged and who also lost loved ones in the natural disaster.
