Premier joins churches in prayer

The gathering worshipped, prayed and danced together in harmony

The Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, Nomusa Dube-Ncube, held a prayer at AG Magubane Stadium in Steadville today (February 22).

This annual prayer was held in the uThukela District due to the natural disasters that hit the area in December.

Leaders from different churches, congregants and the community at large gathered together in prayer. Also present was MEC for Agriculture Super Zuma.

Delivering her speech, Premier Dube-Ncube passed a message of condolence to the families who lost loved ones in the flooding.

She thanked all the churches for always ‘being there’ during difficult times.

“I remember that you were always there to comfort the families and you also accompanied us when we visited the affected families,” said Dube-Ncube.

The churches also prayed for peaceful elections, as well as an end to gender-based violence and taxi wars.
