Support the Juana Maria bookshop

The books are sold from as little as R10

Juana Maria Frail Aged Home boasts with a second-hand bookshop that has been a part of the centre for years.

The bookstore has garnered quite a reputation for itself, having started out as a ‘pop-up shop’ in the Pick n Pay foyer on Saturday mornings. There, they sold books for close to a decade before moving to the present permanent location in Francis Road.

The books that are sold are donated by the community and then sorted into categories / genres. The literature is sold at very reasonable, rock-bottom prices. You can find everything from fiction to historical books, children’s books, war, politics, biographies, etc, from as little as R10 a book. You don’t get better than that!

The bookshop opens every Wednesday from 14:00 to 17:00 and Saturday from 09:00 to 13:00. Everyone is welcome to come and browse.
