Alfred Duma Local Municipality Mayor Zama Sibisi handed over a bridge in the Inkunzi area yesterday (August 1).

Community members have been struggling to reach their homes, especially during the rainy season.

The construction of this bridge was announced by the mayor last year, and the community has warmly welcomed the new infrastructure.

“We are very happy! Children can now attend school without having to think about the river, as they had to be accompanied by adults in the rainy season,” said one resident.
