Kudu killed by community members in Gaza Place

The animal fled to a residential area after a hole was cut in the farm fence

A local farmer is angry at community members in Gaza Place after they killed a kudu today (August 14).

The animal belonged to the farmer, who said that hunters with hunting dogs were seen cutting his fence at about 06:30. The dogs were used to drive the kudu into a residential area, where it was shot.

Animal Anti-Cruelty League inspector Pauline Lennon said she is very angry about the incident.

“It’s a residential area and shooting is not allowed. This puts the lives of other innocent residents in danger. They should have called the relevant department to come and rescue the kudu,” said a fuming Pauline.
