- Fort Amiel to host the Nightmare Market:
October 25: Fort Amiel, in aid of the Newcastle SPCA, will host a Nightmare Market and Movie and Spooky Museum Tour at Fort Amiel Museum from 18:00. Come dressed as your favourite Halloween character and enjoy good music, stalls, a spooky museum tour, face painting, and so much more. Entrance will cost R20 per adult and R10 for people under 18. - HPS Mandir to host Diwali Havan & Puja:
October 31: The HPS Mandir will host a Diwali Havan and Puja at 07:00 at the HPS temple.
The program will include recitals and discourses (Uttara Kaand) and the return of SRI RAM from exile. Devotees are welcome to make an offering of diya and mithaai, and all are welcome to attend.

- Swim Studio to host three Hour Worldwide Aquathon:
November 9: The three-hour Worldwide Aquathon will take place at Swim Studio, at 4 Disa Road, in Schuinshoogte at 08:30. This year’s event is to raise funds for Cansa. Please note bookings are essential. To book your space, contact 071 683 2285.
- Nofta Week of the Aged:
November 16: Newcastle Organisations for the Aged (NOFTA) will celebrate a mesmerising Week of the Aged with dynamic live entertainment by Nikki and the Trio—Eastern and Western. The event will commence at the Nofta Service Centre at 7B Nightingale Street in Lennoxton from 17:30. Admission will cost R150 per person and will include a delicious five-course meal.
