Honouring top achievers at Tugela Pre-Vocational School
The school celebrated its annual prize-giving ceremony which was a momentous occasion dedicated to recognising the outstanding achievements of its learners on Friday (October 11)
Expressing his immense pride in the occasion, principal Riaan du Plessis, said the day acknowledged the brilliance of the students who have not only excelled academically but also contributed significantly to the school’s sporting endeavours throughout the year.
Principal Riaan du Plessis expressed his immense pride stating: “It is an honour to recognise the dedication and hard work of our students. Their achievements reflect not only their commitment but also the unwavering support of their parents and the school community.”
Students recognised were as follows:
Nadine Kayser – Top academic achievement in Level 3
Siyamthanda Simelane – Best overall achievement in girls’ practical
Mandisi Luvuno – KZN Colours for Rugby LSEN Schools as well as rugby player of the year
Simphiwe Boshoff – The highest mark in her class.
Sinqobile Ngwenya- Dux
Silindokuhle Zulu-girls ambassador of Tugela for 2024
Lwandisa Dindi – Sportwoman of the year award
Loke Cox – Top academic achiever in Level 4 and overall best achievement in boys practical
Jason van Wyk – boys’ ambassador of Tugela for 2024
Marnus Barnard – Sportman of the year, KZN Colours LSEN Schools for rugby.
Best Athlete
Lindelwa Molefe and Nokuthula Dumiso received the Principals Special awards for perseverance.
