Local cops run Sanlam Marathon in the Cape

The 'men in blue' all finished in good times

Five police officers from the Uthukela District took part in the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon last week.

The officers all serve in Visible Policing at different stations in the district.

Constable Mdunge of Ladysmith SAPS competed in the 42km race and finished in a fantastic three hours and 10 minutes. Warrant Officer Y Mantandabuzo, the Visible Policing commander at Amangwe SAPS, competed in the 10km race and finished in just over an hour. Sergeant M Mathonsi from Ladysmith SAPS finished in one hour and 10 minutes. Sergeant S Khanyeza from Winterton SAPS competed in the 42km race and finished in five hours, 17 minutes. Sergeant T Khumalo, also from Winterton SAPS, ran both the 10km and 42km races, finishing in one hour, 13 minutes and six hours, seven minutes respectively.
