Local bikers ride for charity
The president of Cruisers MCC, Carel Burger, said the toys will be distributed and donated to various pre-schools and crèches in Vryheid
Cruisers Motorcycle Club (MCC) hosted their annual charity event on Sunday in the form of a Toy Run. Approximately 56 bikers from Vryheid as well as the surrounding area met up at the Junction, some with a soft toy (as a donation) mounted on their motorbikes. New Republic School (NRS) also made their way to the Junction. Accompanied by the school mascot, the learners had bags full of toys to donate. The convoy made their way to Vryheid Golf Club, where they had a social gathering while being entertained by music. The day was enjoyed by young and old alike. The president of Cruisers MCC, Carel Burger, said the toys will be distributed and donated to various pre-schools and crèches in Vryheid that are in need of toys for their play areas. He extends his gratitude to everyone who participated in the event and those who contributed to the success of yet another charity drive.
