Job losses at Dunlop?

The final headcount reduction is still being determined

Due to declining automotive market demand, Dunlop Tyres South Africa says it’s undergoing a business restructure to ensure sustainability.

The company has engaged with the CCMA and employee representatives to facilitate the process, which may result in job losses (retrenchments).

CEO Lubin Ozoux stated that the decision was not taken lightly, but is necessary to secure the business’s future and protect as many jobs as possible.

Parent company Sumitomo Rubber Industries (SRI) is supporting the transition.
