uThukela issued a notice yesterday evening (April 24) to inform the community of Alfred Duma Local Municipality that they are currently experiencing an electrical fault at the Spioenkop pump station.

As a result, bulk storage levels have dropped.

All high-lying areas will be affected by water interruptions, including: Observation Hill, Danskraal Industrial Area, Golf Course, Egerton, Steadville, Modelkloof and Limit Hill.

The community is urged to use water sparingly and store if possible.
