SAMWU members picket outside uThukela offices

A memorandum of grievances was handed over to management.

uThukela employees who are members of the South African Municipal Workers Union (SAMWU) picketed outside the uThukela District Municipality offices this morning (August 8).

After the picket, the protesters handed over a memorandum of grievances to management.

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Co-operative Governance & Traditional Affairs (CoGTA) and all political parties represented in the district municipality were invited to join the protest.
