The early morning air was filled with the sounds of revving engines as members of the Old Toeters Club set off on their two-day 2025 Diesel & Dust Run from Newcastle to Volksrust on Saturday, August 30.
Twelve teams gathered at the Barn to review the weekend’s agenda before embarking on the long journey, which included exciting activities such as blind driving and an obstacle course along the route.
The journey featured stops at Kromellenbogen, Balele Caravan Park, Burgers Pass, Groenvlei Veilingskraal, Rietvlei Farm, Wakkerstroom, Standerton, Sandspruit, and Volksrust, before returning to Newcastle via the Memel Road.
The weekend concluded with a delicious lunch and a prize-giving ceremony at the Old Toeters Clubhouse.
The committee expressed gratitude to all participants and contributors, acknowledging everyone who made the annual event a success.
