Estcourt mayor hands over new houses
Some of the old houses had been damaged by heavy rains and others were not fit to live in.
New houses were recently handed over to deserving families in the Ngonyameni area, Ward 5. The official handover was done by Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality Mayor Mduduzi Myeza.
The mayor commented that, “These are beautiful houses we have built for our community. We did this because we understand the importance of living under a roof with dignity and safety.
“The eight families that benefited from this subsidized housing programme are those who were identified as living in poor conditions after some houses were damaged by the rains and others were not in a condition to accommodate people. Now we have brought endless joy to these homes.”
