Food for Life hosts successful ‘Oil and Grain Drive’
Join hands with Food for Life Ladysmith to nourish our communities with love and make a lasting difference in the lives of those in need.
In a heart- warming initiative to alleviate hunger and malnutrition in South Africa, the Food for Life Ladysmith team got together on Saturday (December 13) to host an ‘Oil and Grain Drive’ outside AK’s Supermarket.
As part of the world’s largest vegetarian food relief programme, Food for Life South Africa operates with over 29 branches across the country, including the Ladysmith branch. They distribute freshly-cooked, plant-based meals to those in need.
With a core mission to eradicate hunger and malnutrition, the Ladysmith branch serves over 750 people every Saturday in rural and surrounding areas.

Food for Life Ladysmith affiliated with Food for Life South Africa in 2015. Since its inception, the Ladysmith branch has become a vital life-line for individuals and families. Their selfless efforts are making a tangible difference in the lives of many.
Meals are freshly prepared and distributed in and around the Ladysmith and Colenso areas. Recently, the Ladysmith team and well-wishers ventured out to Môrester Child & Youth Centre in Ladysmith; Ikhaya Lethu Orphanage & Care Centre in Colenso; and the Homes in Glencoe, distributing sumptuous meals and party packs to all the children.
Their efforts are made possible only through the continued support of sponsors, donors, volunteers and partners. Together they are confident they can reach greater heights.
