Cupcakes for a good cause

Treat your taste buds and help make a difference.

A simple box of cupcakes is becoming a powerful way to give back this Valentine’s Day.

Shenay Mahadeo is inviting the community to support the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) by placing orders for freshly-prepared, egg-less cupcakes, with all proceeds going directly to the organisation.

The cupcakes will be available on Friday, February 13, at a cost of R70 for a box of six, with a minimum order of six cupcakes. Orders must be placed by Wednesday, February 11.

More than just a sweet treat, the initiative aims to raise funds for ISKCON’s ongoing spiritual, educational and community-based activities, which benefit people from all walks of life.

Mahadeo is also offering delivery to businesses and factories for larger orders, with a minimum of five dozen cupcakes required for delivery, making it an ideal opportunity for workplaces to contribute while treating staff.

Community members who wish to support the cause can place their orders by contacting Shenay Mahadeo on 0727413715

At a time when small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference, this cupcake drive proves that giving back doesn’t have to be complicated – sometimes it’s as simple as sharing something sweet.
