Sithembile Legends donate shoes to support young learners

Sithembile Legends donate school shoes and pledge continued support for needy learners.

Residents of Sithembile have given back to the next generation by donating school shoes and uniforms to a local primary school.

Calling themselves the Sithembile Legends Group, members pooled their own resources to purchase much-needed items for learners.

Support begins at Makhemfundo Primary

The initiative officially began at Makhemfundo Primary School, where the group donated 22 pairs of school shoes.

Organiser Mbuso Ntombela said the project will be expanded to other schools to ensure that more needy learners receive support.

“The Sithembile Legends Group welcomes all community members who wish to be part of this meaningful and impactful project,” he said.

Members of the group include N Khumalo; Mr and Mrs M Mthembu (Esomnyezane); Mr S Ndima (former councillor and Endumeni employee); Mr D Magasela (former principal of Ntinini School); Mr RB Buthelezi (former principal of Sebenzakusakhanya School); Mr T Mnguni (Correctional Services); Mr B Ndlovu (former Correctional Services); Mr M Mbatha (local businessman); Mr S Shabalala (local businessman); Mr M Ntombela (Endumeni employee); Mr N Cebekhulu (teacher); and Mr Nkala (community member).

The group hopes its example will inspire others to invest in the education and well-being of local children.
