Residents report suspicious vehicle linked to Glencoe fires
Residents have reported a suspicious silver Corsa allegedly linked to fires as emergency services respond to an active blaze.
There are reports that people travelling in a silver Corsa are driving around Glencoe allegedly starting fires. The vehicle was reportedly seen opposite Glencoe Primary School a short while ago.
A fire is currently burning in a field across from the Deo Church on Simpson Crescent.
One resident also claimed that it appeared the suspects had set grass verges alight, including the verge between Glencoe Primary School and Biggarsberg High School on the way to the old Spar Centre where a fire had also reportedly broken out.
Glencoe residents who called the Courier said the vehicle had a black boot spoiler and tinted windows.
Fire engine dispatched
Phumlani Ntombela Endumeni’s Disaster Manager, confirmed that a fire engine has been dispatched to the scene.
A Glencoe resident who spotted the car but who did not want to be named said the local police have been informed
