The Newcastle Organisation for the Aged (NOFTA) recently announced that a group of selected members successfully completed a two-day first aid training course held on July 23 and 24.

The participants included chairman Morris Gajoo, public relations officer Bully Singh and administrator Raj Jaggernath.

Training strengthens emergency response skills

According to Jaggernath, the training equipped participants with essential life-saving skills, enabling them to respond confidently and effectively during medical emergencies.

“This initiative forms part of NOFTA’s ongoing commitment to improving the safety, wellbeing and preparedness of both its members and the wider community,” explained Jaggernath.

NOFTA extended its sincere appreciation to TRIVS Ambulance Services, which generously sponsored 50% of the training costs, making the valuable programme possible.
