Vaccination programme for cattle disease reaches Umzinyathi
Mzinyathi District Mayor, Councillor Thembisile Mchunu, has informed farmers about the Department of Agriculture’s ongoing cattle vaccination programme to protect livestock against the disease.
“The Department of Agriculture’s livestock vaccination programme, which we have been waiting for, has finally arrived.
“I therefore urge all farmers to vaccinate their livestock to protect them against the disease,” said Mchunu.
Vaccination dates announced
The vaccination programme in Msinga and Mvoti will run until September 12, 2026, while the programme in Nquthu and Endumeni will start tomorrow and continue until September 12, 2026.
The mayor urged farmers to take advantage of the programme to protect their livestock.
Vaccines available at dip tanks
The vaccine will be available at dip tanks, and farmers are urged to ensure that all their cattle are vaccinated.
