A hike to the caves for Grade 4s

It was a day out in nature for the learners

The St Gregory Primary School Grade 4 class spent an amazing day on September 7, at the Giants Castle Nature Reserve, where they enjoyed a hike to the main caves.

The learners played a creative game of ‘I spy with my little eye’, which kept educators Mrs Stork and Mr Ramjan entertained along the way to the caves.

The class was met by a representative of Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, who gave them an informative tour of the caves and the bushman paintings.

The learners enjoy the stream at Giants Castle Nature Reserve.

The class enjoyed their lunch at the picnic site and cooled off with their feet in the stream before hiking back to the bus and returning to school.
