Organisers of the Christmas Market hosted at Paradise sports grounds on Saturday, December 6, hope to make 150 grocery hampers available to underprivileged families this festive season, with the funds raised.
Event coordinator, Rayven Gopi, urged the community to continue to contribute towards the cause, saying, “It’s been a tough year for a lot of people and we’ve observed that many families are really struggling to make ends meet.”
Gopi explained that the community outreach effort is being undertaken in collaboration with New Life Church and New Beginnings Outreach Ministries, and these organisations are assisting in identifying beneficiaries.
Hampers will be distributed on December 16 and members of the community are still able to make a contribution in cash or kind before then.
Contact Rayven Gopi on 083 571 4471 to arrange the drop off or pick up of donations.
Donations can also be taken to New Life Church or New Beginnings Outreach Ministries between 9.30am and 11am on Sunday, December 14.
