Quick and easy home-made burger and chips

Serves 4:

Ingredients

Burgers:

  • 500 g beef mince
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • BBQ spice and other spices of your choice
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 bun shaped bread rolls
  • Tomato sauce/ Mayo or Chutney
  • Cheese slices

Chips:

  • 6 potatoes
  • Cooking oil
  • Salt to taste

Method:

The chips:

  • Peel and cut potatoes to your liking
  • Rinse and dry them.
  • Fry in hot oil until golden and crispy
  • Sprinkle with salt and seasoning of your choice.

The burgers:

  • Mix the mince, onion, spices, salt and pepper together
  • Shape into four decent sized burger patties
  • Fry in a hot pan for about 5 minutes on each side until cooked
  • Put your patties onthe buns, add your sauce and cheese slices and enjoy!

Additional add-ons:

You can add slices of tomato, lettuce and even gherkins if you have any left over in your fridge.
