It’s voting time again.
We will see all the councillor’s faces wanting a vote.
We vote them in but what do we get?
Water accounts have not been sorted out.
The ruling party says: “we are for the poor and unemployed.”
Look at the poor people’s living conditions, we pay rates and VAT, for what?
How does the municipality expect us to live paying high rates? Look at the condition of the roads, potholes through out the town, where is our rates money going to?
Pensioners collect their money by the 4th/5th due to long lines at the banks and supermarkets; we then pay our accounts latest by the 6th.
The municipality is charging late payment fees.
At times we don’t have money for our basic needs, so how do we pay the late payment fees being charged?
We should “protest” against the late payment fees.
Before we used to pay by the 10th of every month.
It was fine at that time why not now? We had to wait for family members to fill up since grants and pension money isn’t enough.
We still struggle to live.
They must bring it back to the 10th or abolish late payment fees.
