Disgusted resident questions vandalists’ ‘crappy’ behaviour

Dear Madam,

What has happened to society?

After reading the article in last week’s Advertiser about the burglars breaking into a school, stealing stationery and then defecating on the floors of the classrooms, I cannot help but wonder how these fiends were raised?

Was their upbringing so poor that they find it acceptable to steal from a school, making it more difficult for eager pupils to learn?

Or are they merely trying to show off their “street cred” by attempting to destroy the educational system in their own, unimaginative way.

The fact that they used the floors as a toilet simply shows the reason why education is so important.

If these culprits had an IQ above 3, they would have known that there were better ways to get whatever message they wanted to share across.

A total lack of respect for themselves, their community and their parents is the only explanation for this poor behaviour.

If, as the article suggests and the culprits are not adults and in fact children, I feel a great deal of pity for our town and country as a whole.
