Madam

I was so shocked and angry when I saw the photos of poor Rocky last week. I actually felt sick as I was going through those photos. What kind of human being does that to an animal?

That poor animal must have been tied up for a very long time for that chain to cut so deeply. How could they walk past him every day and not notice it?

Every week I read the stories in the paper, and it is always about everything that is going wrong and all the corrupt people in our town. And now this? The feel-good, inspirational stories have been lost in the chaos of modern day life.

I hope that Rocky can find a good, loving family to treasure him, and treat him with love and respect. He looks so happy, despite the ordeal that he has gone through.

I have followed the story on your website and read all the comments. I cannot help to agree that the people responsible should be punished.

I remain hopeful that soon this world will not have such evil people and that maybe, someday, newspapers can focus on writing about all the good things and achievements.

Hopeful, Aviary Hill.
