Dear Sir, we have always been very proud of the condition of our streets in town. Lately we notice potholes allover. In Impala @ Drakensburg deep potholes have appeared.

The large amount of rainfall has placed extra strain on our road networks. We are however hoping to deal with all potholes within the next two weeks.

NN Mayor. To the onerable mayor. My is when the road runs to Isididini will be tard? And RDP houses will be built in Soul City?

That is a Provincial road, we have made application to Province to tar the road. I will make mention of it in my budget speech tonight (March 18).

NN Mayor Sir we here at Ingagane start to think that the municipality are neglected us 1. Streetlights we dont know to whom to go to, we try preventing crime, its not save to walk In the streets either to take our walks for excercise. Since august last year lots of streets lights not working and lots is still going off. Street poles not replaced. 3. Street names that’s faded or gone, visitors, deliveries, police and ambulances can’t get to the houses, “please sir if u can give us some answers” Will appreciate.

The streetlights in that area are under Eskom management. We are busy negotiating with Eskom so that the Newcastle Municipality can take over management of the streetlights. I will however ask your ward councillor to speak with Eskom.

NNMayor-the state of the provincial rd from nn to madadeni and osizweni is unacceptable and disappointing.maybe another layer would make a big difference.

We have applied to Province to turn that road into a dual highway. We are just waiting for approval.
