Why won’t councillors pay attention?

Madam – Can this Link Road’s ward councillor read at all?
I cannot but think that the ward councillor responsible for the area where the dirt road between Sutherland and Link roads is, must be unable to read. The Advertiser placed my letter dated 25/09/2014 the following week.
The mayor responded to my letter and said this matter should be taken up with the ward councillor. Mister or Misses who cannot read, whoever he or she is, did nothing. Surely he or she should have taken note of this problem after the above letter appeared in the Newcastle Advertiser?
I do not even know who the ward councillor for that area is. Will he or she also delay using his or her councillor month-end payment in the same manner? Maybe I am expected to kick his or her blooming butt too – i.e. more or less like the action that Eliza wanted to take in My Fair Lady for her fast asleep horse at the race course?
Read again what my problem with that gravel road is:
– “The gravel road at the top of Sutherland Road was not done away with and now it appears as if this old road serves as the link road to the new dumping site”?
– What about simple feedback councillor? Stating in your feedback that you took note of my problem and also telling us before which Christmas you will attend to this matter if at all! Maybe you do not even know where this gravel road is?
– If not I will ask Jeremy Taylor to sing you his famous song: Ag please councillor take us to the circus! That is where a few Newcastle councillors should find themselves fun and games and not drive us to tears!

Comment from Mayor, Afzul Rehman:
The best way to interact with your councillor is not through the media…
