Appalled by rising crime

Sir,
I am very disturbed by the recent rise in crime in Dundee. This weekend’s horrific shooting at the Pick ‘n Win Supermarket has me fearing for my life. It is preposterous – the brazenness these criminals have in openly robbing a shop in broad daylight, armed with AK-47s!
These days headlines and top stories are usually crime-related, which is incredibly disheartening. It doesn’t matter who you are – even our sporting stars are not safe anymore. Just look at what happened to poor Senzo Mayiwa; my heart bleeds when I hear of tragedies like these.
What happened to law and order in this country? Why does it seem like the criminals have more freedom than we do? Take a look at Oscar’s case: how do you get away with cold-blooded murder?!
Bring back the death penalty!
