Editor – I am so fed up with the speeding that is taking place in my street, Benares Street, in the Aloe Park area.
Over weekends, it gets worse.
On Saturday, a neighbour’s cat was run over by a reckless driver. The driver did not even have the heart to stop and see if the cat was okay. It died instantly. The child, whom the cat belonged to, was devastated.
Not only that, but this has become a big problem. We are worried that next time a child might get knocked down by a speeding motorist. This is an ongoing problem we are facing every day and it is very frustrating.
I really fear something bad may happen and hope something is done as soon as possible before a life is lost.
A letter was published before regarding this same problem, but up until now, nothing has been done about it.
