Editor – As a concerned citizen, I want to applaud the SGB of ML Sultan School for finally standing up to this lazy teacher who has no intention of delivering a service he is being paid for.
This issue has been going on for many years, where this teacher reports to school in the morning and then leaves to solve union matters, while his class children have to suffer the consequences without professional supervision.
The school would be happy to see him being given a full-time job in the upper structures of his union. Why they don’t offer him such an opportunity is a good question.
Why do the children have to put up with such uncertainty every morning? This teacher does not deserve to be called an educator because that title comes with a code of ethics and principles. His unprofessional behaviour is not acceptable and the public needed to put him in his rightful place.
The saddest day in the history of education took place on Friday, April 8, when other so-called professionals left their education-hungry children and went to protest outside the school in support of this con-artist who does not want to do an honest day’s work.
Shame on all of you for letting the children of South Africa suffer for a hypocrite.
The Times of Ladysmith reported that placards read that the principal is a racist. Please tell me how this is possible when the two parties involved are of similar nationality and race?
