What is happening to our world?
I was sickened after reading in the Newcastle Advertiser how a 12-year-old girl was accosted by two men, before one of the men raped her.
What kind of a person does this? Snatching away a girl’s innocence, merely to satisfy his savage urges is a crime that requires more than 18 years’ imprisonment.
As for the perpetrator’s friend, he was willing to watch his friend rape the young girl, but the moment he had to face the consequences of his actions, he conveniently turned State witness. In my eyes, he is just as guilty of ruining this child’s life as his friend.
Both these men should be flogged by the victim’s family, before being sent to prison for the remainder of their despicable lives.
It is because of crimes such as this that I am unwilling to have children. I refuse to expose an innocent soul to the darkness that is becoming rife in modern day society.
When will this all end? When will women and children be able to live in peace without having to fear for their safety?
Something drastic needs to be done to put an end to sexual predators.
