Madam – Miss Newcastle is here again, with some of Newcastle’s most beautiful girls and women taking part.
Yet, I have noticed that not one of the girls are what I call a plus size.
I am considered a somewhat oversized woman, which is my prerogative, but while I would love to compete in a similar pageant, I know I would never stand a chance against the slimmer contestants.
I am sure there other women and girls who think along the same lines as me.
I would love to see a Miss Plus Size Miss Newcastle pageant for the bigger girls, as we are just as beautiful.
Look, I admit I will never be on the cover of Glamour or FHM, but why do girls such as myself have to be left on the sideline simply because we are a bit bigger and not deemed ‘model material’?
Let’s get a plus size girl or two, and show people that we are not ashamed of who we are!
