What are the CBD parking rules?

Do we need bring a reputable driving school in to educate everyone? Or do we need the K53 rewritten?

To the law abiding traffic officers of our Estcourt department: The truck pictured was parked at 9.44am, on Tuesday April 12 in Connor Street.

I would like you to please explain to the public, via this newspaper, the new rules of where one can and can’t park? It seems like anything goes and to hell with other motorists. When an accident occurs because of your incompetence, I only hope you will be ready for a lawsuit.

Feeble excuses we have to listen to at all times, oh, Estcourt is congested with traffic. Red lines look orange. Can we offer you some glasses? There is a rule that specifies that no parking close to traffic lights, hence you have painted RED lines to be obeyed.

You are all not doing what is important. With this action it is causing more congestion as it makes it very risky to try and get around vehicles when you don’t have a clear vision of what is around the corner. More than often there are vehicles double parked or waiting to enter the PicknPay parking area.

Do we need bring a reputable driving school in to educate everyone? Or do we need the K53 rewritten? Or maybe let’s just excuse everyone’s bad habits and continue business as usual.

It is time to take control and bring order into this lawless town of ours and I am afraid it begins with the law enforcers.
