Madam – Crime pays.
I read with interest the front page of Ibis Standerton ‘police release alleged thief’. They aren’t a patch on the Charlestown police.
Recently one of my employees was burgled. It was reported to the local police who of course did the usual nothing.
Some investigating by the said employee and his brother located their items stolen and called the police to the scene.
The police retrieved the items from the house of the perpetrators and returned it to the rightful owners. And that was that. No arrests were made.
Even a fool can see that these thieves will steal again. Why not? Nothing is going to happen to them.
Sadly the police in South Africa have become totally incompetent or are badly trained (probably both).
