Editor – Ladysmith Secondary School recently held its community fair, which was a resounding success.
The fair was well attended and in general, it had a feeling of “True Community” and much credit must go to all those generous donors, sponsors, parents and well-wishers who assisted.
Full credit must also go to your newspaper, the Ladysmith Gazette, for your generous coverage of the event. In view of budget constraints, the school depended on your newspaper’s publicity.
Bouquets of gratitude must be extended to the Ladysmith Gazette and sibling paper the Times of Ladysmith. Special mention must be made of reporter Nameera Sarjoo for the super coverage, both in the paper and online, as well as Sameera Motala for creating the special one-page spread.
The Gazette has been true to its mission – your link to the community – and you proved it. We support the newspaper that supports the community. Sir, you have a good thing going; keep it going because the people of Ladysmith are reading.
