Resident wants fair support from local businesses

In very few cases when locals are actually aware of the vacancies, you don't stand a chance to be considered for an interview

There is a question that needs to be asked; one that often goes unasked.

Why is it that no one is ever aware of posts for employment within local factories and businesses?

In very few cases when locals are actually aware of the vacancies, you don’t stand a chance to be considered for an interview.

No one stands a chance, whether you have the necessary qualifications or not. It’s always a case of uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters landing the job.

I can’t wrap my head around this, because we all support local business. Why can’t we get that much back?

What happens to youngsters, who have recently matriculated? There aren’t even any training programmes.

It seems if you don’t have family in high places, or are of a certain race and class, you are going nowhere in life.
